Around Town, Along The Paths Near Which The Sea Meets The Island, Also The Preserve, Friday Evening

It was an awfully nice evening, truth be told. And on evenings like this, Edward liked to indulge his more whimsical side - taking a stroll along the coast and watching the water crash against the island, even if at times that meant climbing up rocks or over fences.

The traditional ending for such a journey was the preserve, and it was there that Edward made the fatal error: he lingered. After all, the trees saved him from any threat of rainfall, and the water was awfully nice, even when it was only lit from the castle and the far-away moon.

He lingered, and watched, and eventually this would not end terribly well. For now, though, it was perfect.

"Someone very cruel," Anders said -- and, though it took uncharacteristic restraint, managed not to add anything about Templars. "The ocean here's spectacular."

"What was that like?" Anders asked idly. "Where I grew up's nothing to look at, mostly. Rocks and farms. Some trees."

"Someday, maybe," Anders said wistfully. "Only time I've left Ferelden before here was to see my father's people in the Anderfels. Which is nice, if you like rocks and bare earth. Land got destroyed during a blight and they never rebuilt."
